Jean Hailes Women's Health Week

The Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week is a week dedicated to all women across Australia.

It’s a week to focus on your health, learn more and take action.

Jean Hailes is launching a new campaign - No more elephants!

It is time to get rid of the elephant in the room and get talking about women’s health.

Women can be good talkers, but when it comes to health, we often don’t take the time to ask questions, seek out credible information and work on a sound plan of action.

What do women want to know about their health? To kick things off we will be launching the results of our survey ‘What do women want to know’.

Over 3325 women and health professionals completed the survey telling us what women worry about and what information they would like to hear about when it comes to their health.

During women’s health week we will focus on what women want to know about their health.

Monday 7 September

What do women want to talk about?

Tuesday 8 September

Myths - what have you heard?

Wednesday 9 September

Silent topics - what's not being talked about?

Thursday 10 September

Ask someone - who & what to ask

Friday 11 September

Now what? - tell us your pledge

You can get involved by: Hosting or joining a women’s health event in your area, supported by free Jean Hailes resources, host videos, promotional material and online information.

Sharing your “elephant in the room” and talking on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with #womenshealthweek.
